I’m not usually a bit sports fan. When I lived in Philadelphia, I enjoyed going to the occasional baseball game. I’m definitely one of those girls who watches only the Super Bowl each year and misses all of the NFL games leading up to it. The Olympics never really grabbed my attention – at least, not until this year. Thanks to a particular Mr. Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report, I did in fact tune in to both the Olympic games, and his coverage of it in Vancouver.
For those of you who don’t know, Stephen Colbert helped to raise a great deal of money to help cover a dropped sponsor for the US Olympic Speed Skating Team. Thanks to his “Colbert Nation” the Team was able to have the funds necessary to go to the Olympic games. To thank Colbert for his help, the Team made him the Assistant Sports Psychologist during the Olympic games.
